McBride
British Columbia

Part of the BC Adventure Network. Over a million web site visitors annually !

McBride, the first B.C. community on the Yellowhead Highway, has a history tied to railroads and forestry. That history is reflected in Koeneman Park, minutes from town where visitors can see a settler's hand-build log home.

The area is also a birdwatcher's delight with waterfowl of all kinds; over 175 species of birds have been recorded at nearby Horseshoe Lake. On the higher peaks around McBride you can treat yourself to heli-skiing or heli-hiking. The entire Robson Valley's exceptional scenery and recreation opportunities draw back packers, anglers and white water enthusiasts.

McBride is also a thriving artisan community; a place you will be able to find quality handmade local crafts.
