The
road to Eneas Lakes was deactivated as of April 1, 2002. Access
to the park is by 4x4 vehicle only. Recommend packing along a chainsaw,
for it is common to find trees and debris across the road on your
way in. There is no signage on the forestry road to Eneas Lakes;
you should have a good forestry map for the area.
Limited
road access - 20 km of rough gravel road along the Munro Lake Forest
Service Road west of Peachland. Four-wheel drive vehicles recommended;
4 km further northwest of Darke Lake Provincial Park. Please note
the logging road going into Eneas Lake is not maintained; very rugged
terrain. The closest communities, towns and cities are Summerland
and Peachland.
Resorts
& Campsites:
There is no developed campsite at Big Eneas Lake. The Eneas Lakes
Provincial Park allows wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping,
but no facilities are provided. The park features a unique lake
complex consisting of Big and Little Eneas Lakes, Island Lake and
Tsuh Lake. When water levels are high, Big Eneas and Little Eneas
form one a single 25ha lake. Island Lake is accessible only by boat
or foot and has no development along its heavily forested shores.
The park also encompasses the upper drainages of the lakes. The
pristine fir and pine forest is habitat for the red listed Northern
goshawk.
Fishing
Report: Both Big Eneas and Little Eneas contain Rainbow
trout to 2 lbs. and remain popular lakes throughout the fishing
season. Fly fishing and trolling are methods used with success.

Island
Lake - Island, is a small hike in lake, located to
the west of Eneas Lake. It provides a Rainbow fishery for medium
sized trout. Another good Rainbow lake can be found south of Eneas
Lakes.
Tsuh
Lake - Tsuh Lake, provides good numbers of trout in
the 2 lb. range. Darke (Fish) Lake, located southeast of Eneas
Lakes, supports both a Rainbow and Brook trout fishery. Access
is via a secondary road leading north off the Summerland /Princeton
road. Cartop boat launching and camping are available at the lake.
Glen
Lake - Glen Lake, can be found northwest of Eneas
Lakes on the way to Headwater Lakes. Eastern Brook trout up to
3 lbs. can be caught on the fly or by trolling small lures, flatfish
and spinning gear.
