Location: Hatzic can easily be found by travelling 6 km. (3.7 mi.) east of the town of Mission on Hwy. #7.

Fishing Report: Not known as a great fishing lake, Hatzic does however support Rainbow, Cutthroat, Black Crappie, juvenile Coho and Sturgeon. Rainbows are the most numerous and will reach up to 1 lb. It is best fished during fall and early spring. Hatzic is better known for waterskiing and swimming and receives heavy use during the summer months.

Nearby Lakes

Davis Lake - Davis Lake, a small lake of 32 ha. (74 ac.), is found north of Hatzic in the Davis Lake Provincial Park. Turn off Hwy. #7 onto Sylvestor Road (just east of Hatzic) and travel north until you get to the lake. Lying at an elevation of 166 m. (545 ft.), Davis is a Cutthroat stocked lake and is best fished during fall and spring. The Cutthroat will reach up to 1 lb. Kokanee are also present in the lake. Rough camping areas are available and cartop boats can be launched easily.

Salsbury & Kenyon Lake - By continuing north past Davis Lake you can reach Salsbury Lake. 79 ha. (195 ac.) in size and lying at an elevation of 409 m. (1341 ft.), Salsbury is stocked with Rainbow and Kokanee that average 1 lb. A BCFS campsite can be found at the lake. Kenyon, is a small lake of 26 ha. (64 ac.) lying approximately 5 km. (3.1 mi.) north of Salsbury at an elevation of 700 m. (2296 ft.). Kenyon has been stocked with Rainbow trout. A BCFS campsite is available and cartop boats can be launched. The road to Salsbury and Kenyon is rough and a truck or 4x4 is recommended.
