Fishing Report: Rolley Lake is suitable for fishing by everyone from youngsters to the expert. The variety of fish provide a challenge for different types of fishing. Trolling, without a motor, or casting from shore from the many trails that allow you access to the water, are both popular fishing methods. Depending on your style of fishing, there is deep water at the north end and a shallow south end, with swamps and mud providing a haven for feeding trout. The aggressive stocking of Rainbow (50,000 since 1986) plus the many "resident" fish increase your chances on your fishing expedition. Trout are small, usually in the 1/2-1 lb. range.

Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Viewscape: The area of the park is a predominantly flat, wilderness area blanketed in a lush growth of tall, second growth conifers.

Shoreline: Swampy and muddy areas in the southern part. The shoreline is fairly flat in most areas allowing for easy access.

Nearby Lakes

Devil's Lake - Devil's Lake, 46 ha. (114 ac.) in size is located north of Rolley and provides the fisherman with a fair Cutthroat fishery for trout up to 1 lb.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
